RELIGION VS GAYS

We know not all Christians or Believers of a Higher Being are all the same. As a gay man we were taught what our parents were taught by a man of cloth with prejudice of what he had been taught. The cycle seems to be never ending. Are we not all created in God's image, a child of God, a human being, your brothers, or your family? I don't pretend to fully understand religion nor why people wish to harm others in the name of religion. Was religion really designed to harm others and separate our families? I for one can NOT begin to understand why such a thing would happen.

When we all reach heaven or our final resting place what will be discovered. Will God ask those that turned us away why? Will God want to understand why man turned on man? Will God shame those that harmed us or will he forgive them? Will those that wish to harm us because of whom God created us to be still feel those same prejudices? So many question for the here after, so many more questions that NOW of those that turn us away in the name of religion.

Can the people not understand the harm they are causing? Can they not understand the pain the inflect upon us? Can they not understand they are the very ones turning us away from God? The Devil not need to raise a hand because those that call themselves religious often do his work better than he could every do.

We all know that more wars, more people killed than any other was all in the name of religion. We attempt to say we don't understand the Middle East and they are fanatics but then the religious attempts the same within our own boarders. America was started and founded on the principles of freedoms from religion. Yes we have always embarrassed religion but our founding fathers understand the separation of church and state was necessary to ensure EVERYONE'S freedom.

I don't pretend to understand why people feel religion needs to be our very down fall as country full of freedoms. I don't even pretend to understand why people of God can't understand that God's design and plan is far greater than his. I just simply don't get.

We all have our own walk and personal relationship with a higher being/God. It is not for anyone to judge. Just because you walk one way does not mean all others have to follow. Even with religion one religion may believe the are the supreme religion and all other religions will go to hell. WOW how can one God be the ultimate answer with such a diverse Worlds population? How can one Higher Being be the one that turns away his own children that he has create all to be unique and different, but yet all in his own image. If we follow the simplistic of the Bible, "created in God's image," then can we not begin to understand that there man facades and variations of God? If we live by this simple passage then we must as a society embrace all the variations and facades of mankind which is the very ones created in God's own image.
